Does HDPE actually resist heat warping better than whatever our current cans are

I’m hoping someone with more material science knowledge than me can settle a debate we’ve been having at work, we run a small landscaping equipment rental business in Sharjah and store various fuel and chemical mixtures in plastic jerry cans that sit in an outdoor storage shed for most of the day, and by mid afternoon during summer that shed genuinely feels like an oven, which has led to a few of our cans slightly deforming over time, nothing catastrophic where contents leaked out, but enough visible warping on the sides that it’s made a few of us nervous about structural integrity long term, one of my coworkers insists that switching to HDPE specifically would solve this since apparently that material handles heat stress significantly better than whatever generic plastic our current cans are made from, but honestly I don’t know enough to confirm if that’s actually true or if he’s just repeating something he heard without real verification, does HDPE genuinely perform noticeably better under sustained heat exposure compared to standard plastic containers, or is warping something that happens regardless of material type once temperatures get extreme enough in an enclosed space like ours, while looking into this I came across some premium HDPE jerry cans in Sharjah that specifically highlighted heat resistance as a selling point which at least confirmed the material distinction is something manufacturers actually market as meaningful rather than just marketing language without real substance, does anyone have firsthand experience using HDPE cans specifically in a hot storage environment like ours, and if so did you actually notice a difference in how well they held their shape compared to whatever you used previously, also is proper ventilation in the storage area something that matters just as much as container material, or does a genuinely heat resistant material make ventilation less critical since the container itself handles the stress better regardless of ambient conditions, I don’t want to just switch materials assuming that alone fixes everything if airflow and storage setup actually play an equally important role that we’ve been ignoring this whole time, so if anyone’s dealt with this same warping issue and found switching materials actually solved it, I’d really appreciate hearing your experience before we commit to replacing everything.
