Malta’s one of those places that looks tiny on a map but keeps surprising you with how much there is to see. Valletta is worth a full day at least, the whole city is basically a living museum with fortifications and baroque architecture everywhere you look. Mdina is another one you don’t want to skip, it’s a medieval walled city that feels completely frozen in time. And if you get a chance, take the ferry over to Gozo for a day, the scenery there is completely different from the main island.
