Startup Policy Seminar: AI policy outlook for startups

AI has captured policymakers’ attention, and their actions in the coming year will determine how startups are able to build, grow, and compete in this space.
In 2024, we saw a flurry of task forces, legislation, and administrative actions at the federal level, while states charged ahead to create their own rules governing AI. Looking ahead to 2025, the incoming administration will change the direction of AI policy at the federal level, while states are poised to fill the void with a deluge of efforts to regulate AI.
Join Engine on Wednesday, December 11th at 12pm ET for a virtual conversation with an expert panel examining regulatory developments in AI, what they mean for startups, and how startups can be involved in shaping AI policy:
Nathan Lindfors – Policy Director, Engine (moderator)
Alan McQuinn -Professional Staff Member, House Subcommittee on Research and Technology, Minority
Caleb Williamson – State Public Policy Counsel, ACT | The App Association
Jennifer Huddleston – Senior Fellow in Technology Policy, Cato Institute
